Centred around empowering women, helping them to feel strong, confident and realise their own inner power.
Creating a supportive community where women feel safe and held to be authentically themselves.
Hello, and welcome to
My vision has always been to recreate the “village feel” that has sadly been lost in our culture. Community and connection are at the heart of all my classes and events.
I believe there’s incredible power when women come together - to hold space for one another, share, care, and support each other on this wild ride of life.
When you join my classes, I want you to feel safe, supported, and nurtured, like you’ve found your tribe, a space where you can comfortably and authentically be yourself.
Yes, you certainly can. If you are experiencing Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) or Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD), I provide adaptations to ensure your practice is gentle and supportive.
It is essential that you consult with your doctor, midwife, or a physiotherapist first to ensure it is safe for your specific condition.
Yes, you can continue right up until your baby is born! Often, ladies attend classes beyond their estimated due date. As long as you are feeling well and able, you are welcome to attend for as long as you like.
There is also a pay-as-you-go option towards the end of pregnancy.
I recommend waiting until after your 12-week scan before starting classes, unless you already have a regular yoga practice - in which case you may start sooner.
I recommend starting 6–8 weeks after a vaginal birth and 8–10 weeks after a caesarean birth.
You may feel you need a little longer to physically heal and recover, so whenever you feel well and ready, you can get started.
Most ladies continue until their baby is on the move. Every baby is different—this is often around 8 months, although some continue up to 10 months or beyond.
Once babies become more mobile, they tend to want to explore, which can be a little distracting for mums. If your baby still enjoys the class and is happy playing while you practice, you are welcome to stay as long as you like.
This class is super relaxed and completely baby-led. If your baby needs feeding, changing, wants to sleep, or becomes upset, there is absolutely no need to worry - you can simply do whatever you need in the moment.
Some weeks your baby might sleep and you’ll enjoy more of the yoga; other weeks you might spend more time tending to them - and that’s perfectly okay.
Yes, absolutely! My classes are all about moving your body within your own capability- you don’t need to be flexible at all.
Yoga isn’t about touching your toes or doing complicated poses. My classes focus more on how yoga feels in your body. It’s important to me that my classes are accessible to all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities.
We have a real mix of ages in class. Younger women are welcome from age 14 and upwards. There is no upper age limit. It’s a very welcoming and relaxed environment.
Yes, chair yoga is generally safe but if you have any health concerns, injuries or medical conditions, please consult with your GP first and always make Lorna aware of these in your health questionnaire.
Chair Yoga is ideal for beginners, women with mobility or balance issues, recovering from illness or injury and those who prefer a gentler practice. There's no age limit - we have ladies in their 80's.
In August 2023, I trained as a Doula, following the pull to support women on a deeper level, throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
I offer continuous, compassionate support through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
Personalised 1:1 birth preparation for women and their partners, emotional, physical and practical support so that you feel confident, informed and never alone.
I work with women who are looking to build trust in themselves and the ability to birth their baby, build confidence to advocate for themselves within the maternity system and release fears and anxieties around birth.
I love hearing about their birth experiences and the sense of empowerment they feel afterwards - it's always so deeply emotional!
"Birth is not only about making babies. It is about making mothers - strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength"
- Barbara Katz Rothman
A time to reflect on the past month, celebrate your achievements, and let go of what no longer serves you moving into the new lunar cycle.
A mini retreat for Mums and their children ages 4 - 9 to slow down, reconnect and make beautiful lasting memories together.
Where you can feel safe, loved and heard
I want you to feel truly seen in your wholeness, and experience a big warm sense of welcome when you join my classes, retreats, or work with me as your Doula.
At different stages of life, you may feel lost, isolated, or vulnerable - especially as you move through transition from maiden, to mother and into wise woman.
I hope you feel a sense of excitement and ease when you arrive - a warm, welcoming, community where connection flows and everyone belongs.
Our Shakti Tribe
No, all classes are booked in blocks. If there are any weeks you’re unable to attend due to prior arrangements or appointments, I can skip these for you, but I do need to know these dates at the time of booking. Any missed classes that are not agreed in advance cannot be carried over.
I supply all equipment, so you don’t need to bring a mat—although some ladies prefer to bring their own to place on top of mine for a little extra cushioning and comfort.
Please bring a bottle of water and wear loose, comfortable clothing for your yoga practice.
Yes, absolutely! All my classes are inclusive and accessible for everyone. I offer adaptations throughout to suit you, making postures easier or more challenging when required. I’m very good at reading the class and adapting things accordingly.
If you have difficulty getting up and down from the floor, my seated class, Shakti Gentle, is the best option for you to get started!
General FAQs
Ideally, yes. However, if you let me know of any prior arrangements or appointments at the time of booking, I can skip these and add them to the end of your block. If you miss any classes without prior notice, due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, I’m afraid they cannot be carried over.
No, all classes are rolling blocks. This means you can join any week that I have space, and you will always receive the full benefit of your block. When you join my classes, your space is always yours until you let me know you’d like to give it up.
